Winter Break Hours

Please note that we have abbreviated office hours during the winter break:

    9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. December 22, 23 and 26 (closed December 24 and 25)
    9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. December 29, 30 and January 2 (closed December 31 and January 1)

To ensure your tax-deductible donation is counted in 2025, here are helpful links and resources:

  • Use this link by December 31st to give securely online via credit/debit card or direct debit.
  • If you are sending a check by mail (or a financial institution is sending a check on your behalf), the envelope must be postmarked by December 31st. At this time of the year, the USPS suggests you have your envelope hand-stamped at dropoff.
  • If you are transferring stock, here are the instructions. Please check with your broker for their deadline for requesting year-end transfers, as many institutions have a mid-December deadline for such requests.
  • If you’re age 70½ or older and have requested a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA custodian, the funds must leave your IRA and clear the account by December 31 to qualify for the 2025 tax year.

For urgent matters, please contact Director of Advancement Services Amanda Porter at 614-509-2276 or portera@columbusacademy.org.

Thank you for your support of Columbus Academy!

Your Annual Fund gift removes barriers and allows teachers to focus on students

What is my Annual Fund gift used for? The Annual Fund is the school's largest and most important annual fundraising effort. Donations to the Annual Fund are put to immediate use supporting the academic programs, co-curricular activities and strategic priorities of the current school year. You can choose to support one of the funds below or leave your gift unrestricted. Unrestricted gifts support all aspects an Academy education- one that challenges students' developing intellects and strengthens their character, preparing them for college and beyond.

Every student and teacher benefits from every gift to the Annual Fund. The very best independent schools in the country have the strongest participation in their respective Annual Funds. Whether your donation is $30 or $3,000, everyone's participation helps make our school stronger.

How can you help? Participate in any way you are able, every school year. Our annual campaign kicks off in the fall and runs through June 30 every year. Pledges don’t have to be fulfilled until June 30, and can be fulfilled monthly, quarterly or at one time. Click here to make your gift or pledge online.

Our Development team is always available to answer questions and make supporting the school easy. You can reach us at any time at 614-509-2256 or developmentoffice@columbusacademy.org.

Thank you, in advance, for your support of Columbus Academy!

Each year, we celebrate these generous donors with a special appreciation event.

*There is no gift minimum. Your donation of any amount matters. When it comes to the Annual Fund, the school seeks two things from our community -- participation and aspirational giving -- at whatever level is comfortable and feels meaningful for each individual and family.  Everyone's participation is needed and appreciated.
