Here’s how the application process unfolds:
“Pleased to meet you!”
Complete an online inquiry form to introduce yourself and your child.
We will promptly reply with information about the admissions process, upcoming admissions events and application deadlines. Families who wish to enroll more than one child should submit separate inquiries for each child.
“You are cordially invited…”
Plan to tour the Columbus Academy campus.
While not required, a personal tour is your opportunity to tell us about your child’s needs, and to preview how your family will experience education at Columbus Academy. Students who will be entering Grades 7-12 are encouraged to tour Columbus Academy alongside their parents. Younger students (entering PreK through fifth grade) typically do not attend the introductory tour.
We encourage campus tours in the fall -- September, October and November -- to allow ample time for the application and enrollment process. We’ll look forward to seeing you at one of our Academy Morning events in January. Click here for more details. Call 614-509-2220 to schedule a personal tour.
“We’d love to meet your student!”
Your student’s first personal experience with Academy.
“Shadow Day” is the opportunity for Middle and Upper School applicants to immerse themselves in a full school day with their grade-level peers. They will also get to know a member of the Admissions Team during an informal interview.
Children applying to Lower School will visit us for the first time on the day of their screening.
“Make it official.”
Complete the application.
Download and complete our application form or fill out and return the application included in your admissions packet. Applications are welcomed before the December holidays for enrollment in the following academic year. We look forward to receiving appropriate transcripts and teacher recommendations by the first week in January.
For families applying for admission, the deadline for applying for financial aid is in early February (please check with Admissions Office for exact date). Parents of accepted students are notified of financial aid decisions in early March. Families apply for financial aid through School & Student Services through NAIS by clicking here.
“Getting to know your student.”

Note: applicants who have recently taken the ERB, ISEE, SSAT, PSAT, ACT or SAT may be excused from testing at the discretion of the Director of Admissions.
First-round decisions come March 1.
