Biography

Emily Campbell began working as Director of Development at Columbus Academy in 2013. In addition to her main role, Emily also is involved with Academy’s inclusion initiatives and the faculty SEED program. Prior to joining the Academy community, she worked at COSI for 13 years where she focused on fundraising and developing relationships between the science center and its corporate and foundation partners. An active member of the Central Ohio Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Emily has served seven years on the organization’s board in several leadership roles including board president, and in 2022, she was honored by the chapter with its Outstanding Fundraising Professional award. Emily graduated with a B.A. from Denison University in 2000, completed her M.B.A. at Ohio Dominican University in 2021, and has maintained her certification as a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) since 2012.  Emily is happily married to her high school sweetheart and they have three daughters.

Little-known fact
“I studied piano for 15 years and taught private piano lessons for seven years at a music studio in Upper Arlington. Throughout high school and college I served as a piano accompanist for church services and special events.”

Favorite food/place to eat
“My husband and I enjoy cooking and treasure our time around the family dinner table with our kids.”
