Winter Break Hours
Please note that we have abbreviated office hours during the winter break:
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. December 22, 23 and 26 (closed December 24 and 25)
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. December 29, 30 and January 2 (closed December 31 and January 1)
To ensure your tax-deductible donation is counted in 2025, here are helpful links and resources:
- Use this link by December 31st to give securely online via credit/debit card or direct debit.
- If you are sending a check by mail (or a financial institution is sending a check on your behalf), the envelope must be postmarked by December 31st. At this time of the year, the USPS suggests you have your envelope hand-stamped at dropoff.
- If you are transferring stock, here are the instructions. Please check with your broker for their deadline for requesting year-end transfers, as many institutions have a mid-December deadline for such requests.
- If you’re age 70½ or older and have requested a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA custodian, the funds must leave your IRA and clear the account by December 31 to qualify for the 2025 tax year.
For urgent matters, please contact Director of Advancement Services Amanda Porter at 614-509-2276 or portera@columbusacademy.org.
Thank you for your support of Columbus Academy!

Gifts & Giving
Academy teachers and administrators are empowered with the flexibility to respond quickly to the curiosity, enthusiasm and needs of our students thanks to philanthropic gifts of all sizes.
A community of philanthropy
As an independent school, Columbus Academy designs its own programs and operates without financial support from local or federal taxes. Therefore, like all independent schools, we rely on tuition income, Annual Fund contributions, endowment income and other fundraising activities to support our innovative and challenging academic programs.
We are pleased to share this Donor Impact Report for the 2022-23 school year. Every gift to Columbus Academy tells a story of confidence, kindness and promise for the future. It is our honor to share these stories of philanthropy with you.
Everyone in our Academy community is asked to participate – in any way they are able – in the Annual Fund every school year. Click here to learn more about how you can make an impact!
