Leadership Donor Appreciation Event Returns
After a two-year COVID hiatus, it will be wonderful to celebrate Columbus Academy's foundational donors coming together again at the 16th Celebration of Leadership.
We are pleased to welcome this year's featured speaker, Professor Brian Greene. Greene is a leading theoretical physicist, New York Times bestselling author and entertaining communicator of cutting-edge scientific concepts. A Harvard graduate and Rhodes Scholar, Greene is a frequent television guest, joining Stephen Colbert eight times and even playing himself in an episode of The Big Bang Theory. His bestselling books have been the basis of two Emmy and Peabody Award-winning NOVA miniseries. Greene co-founded the World Science Festival, and he is currently the Director of Columbia University’s Center for Theoretical Physics.
This is sure to be an informative and entertaining experience for our Upper School students in the afternoon and our donors in the evening!

Opportunities to attend this year's event
The Celebration of Leadership is an appreciation event for last year’s leadership donors as well as a stimulus for leadership gifts to the current year’s Annual Fund.
All of last school year’s Annual Fund leadership donors ($3,000 and up) and Emerging Leaders ($1,500 - $2,999) are invited to come together for this special appreciation event. To RSVP, please contact Emily Campbell, Director of Development, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If giving to the Annual Fund at these levels is new for you this year, thank you! Your support of our students and faculty is greatly appreciated. Please contact Emily Campbell, Director of Development, at email@example.com with your gift/pledge and RSVP information. We look forward to thanking you in person!
What is the Celebration of Leadership
This signature fall event recognizes and honors the vital role that leadership gifts (donations of $3,000 or more) play in laying a firm foundation for the Annual Fund. Last year, 76% of the Annual Fund’s $1.7 million raised was comprised of leadership gifts from 135 donor families.
The evening reception features a speaker that aligns with the school’s strategic vision, core values, and donors’ interest in lifelong learning. The speaker is also invited to present to upper-schoolers during an afternoon school assembly, so students have an opportunity to learn from and be inspired by the guest speaker.
