Leadership Donor Appreciation Event Returns

After a two-year COVID hiatus, it will be wonderful to celebrate Columbus Academy's foundational donors coming together again at the 16th Celebration of Leadership.

We are pleased to welcome this year's featured speaker, Professor Brian Greene. Greene is a leading theoretical physicist, New York Times bestselling author and entertaining communicator of cutting-edge scientific concepts. A Harvard graduate and Rhodes Scholar, Greene is a frequent television guest, joining Stephen Colbert eight times and even playing himself in an episode of The Big Bang Theory. His bestselling books have been the basis of two Emmy and Peabody Award-winning NOVA miniseries.  Greene co-founded the World Science Festival, and he is currently the Director of Columbia University’s Center for Theoretical Physics.

This is sure to be an informative and entertaining experience for our Upper School students in the afternoon and our donors in the evening!

What is the Celebration of Leadership

This signature event, now in its 16th year, recognizes and honors the vital role that leadership gifts play in laying a firm foundation for Columbus Academy's Annual Fund. Leadership gifts of $3,000 or more comprise over 75% of the $1.7 million raised each year, impacting every student every day.

The evening reception features a speaker that aligns with the school’s strategic vision, core values, and donors’ interest in lifelong learning. The speaker is also invited to present to upper-schoolers during an afternoon school assembly, so students have an opportunity to learn from and be inspired by the guest speaker.
