On a cool morning under overcast skies on June 5, Columbus Academy graduated its Class of 2023 during the school’s 110th Commencement.

Head of School Melissa Soderberg welcomed the audience with a story about a groundbreaking study on what constitutes a “good life.” She shared that in the results, one predictor stood out categorically: that happiness and health are inextricably mixed with good relationships.

The Columbus Academy Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble started spring break by spending four days in Orlando. The trip was highlighted by a jazz performance on the CityWalk Lagoon Stage at Universal Studios and a Disney Imagination Campus Workshop for the entire band.

“Little Women” will be staged by Columbus Academy upper-schoolers on November 4-5. Both the Friday and Saturday night shows will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the school's Schoedinger Theatre. There is no advanced or reserved seating. Admission will be handled at the door and is $5 per person but free for all Academy students and faculty/staff.

In this year’s National Merit Scholarship Program, 23 seniors from Columbus Academy have earned either Semifinalist or Commended Student honors!
