“Little Women” will be staged by Columbus Academy upper-schoolers on November 4-5. Both the Friday and Saturday night shows will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the school's Schoedinger Theatre. There is no advanced or reserved seating. Admission will be handled at the door and is $5 per person but free for all Academy students and faculty/staff.

The cast includes seniors Vaanika J. and Colin H., juniors Sean J. and Henry W., sophomores Grace H., Ella F., Carolina M., Amelia C., Ridah A. and Lucy I., and ninth-graders Lily T., Aubree M. and Tiago P.

Students involved behind the scenes include seniors Alli S. (set design & lighting) and Colin H. (makeup), juniors Alaina W. (student director, sound & props) and Grace R. (sound), sophomores Lily L. (costumes), Lucy I. (student director), Sophie P. (program & sound) and Katie Z. (props), freshman Rachael S. (projections) and the portfolio tech class (stage crew).

This will mark the final production directed by Scott Dillon, who is retiring at the conclusion of this school year. In addition to serving as technical director for all Academy shows since he arrived on campus in 2004 (and he will continue to do so through the winter and spring), “Dill” – as he is affectionately known by students and colleagues alike – has directed the school’s fall play since 2008.
