Join us on Friday, September 22 and Saturday, September 23 for a memorable weekend of milestone class gatherings, signature programs with beloved faculty and Viking pride. Here are the highlights scheduled for this two-day celebration on campus:
Friday, September 22
- Alumni Headquarters Check-In | 5:30 p.m. in Academy Hall
Check-in for the weekend's events inside Academy Hall where you can then make your way out to the Quad for the Viking Football Watch Party and/or head down to Hondros Field to watch the game in-person. - Viking Football Game and Watch Party | 6:30 p.m. in the Quad behind Academy Hall
Tailgate-style food and beverages, plus camaraderie with fellow Academy alumni, all while watching a livestream of the Academy football game against Whitehall-Yearling HS. Bob Kirk '67 and Andrew Dunn '02 will be recognized at halftime down at Hondros Field for their induction into the our Athletic Hall of Fame.
Saturday, September 23
- Golden Viking Alumni Breakfast | 9:00 a.m. in the Trustees' Room of Academy Hall | Open to graduates celebrating 50 or more years
For our graduates celebrating 50 or more years since commencement, we invite you to start the day with a special breakfast gathering with Head of School Melissa Soderberg. - Campus Tours | 9:30 a.m. and depart every half hour from the dining hall
Beginning at 9:30 a.m. alumni are welcome to tour campus with upper-schoolers who will show you the latest additions and innovations at Academy from our new fieldhouse to the MakerSpace and much more! - Brunch & Coffee with CA Legends | 10:00 a.m. in the dining hall
Enjoy a hearty breakfast and gourmet coffee while connecting with exceptional teachers, advisors and mentors who impacted your experience at Columbus Academy. Whether reminiscing over your addition to the Latin room mural with Mrs. Bening, discussing your senior art show submission with Mr. Block, or reciting Beowulf with Mr. Morrin, you're sure to cherish this time to reconnect. - MOSAIC & Black Alumni Luncheon | 11:30 a.m. under tent in the Academy Quad
The MOSAIC & Black Alumni Luncheon will again take place as part of Alumni Weekend festivities, led by Dr. Pascal Losambe, the Columbus Academy Diversity & Community Life Office and alumni/parent leaders. Click here to register. - Viking Rampage Run and CA Athletics Home Games | Starting at 9:30 a.m.
Explore our 231-acre campus in a fun and messy way with the 7th Annual Viking Rampage Run! Three courses through our campus woods, suitable for all age levels & abilities, designed by CA alumnus and parent Ryan Yeoman ’90. Bringing a full change of clothes and shoes is recommended because you will go through plenty of mud and water! Then stick around to catch one of our fall sports teams in action at home, including volleyball (10:00am/noon) and girls soccer (11:00am).
