Columbus Academy alumni and friends gathered on December 22 at The Grand Event Center in Grandview Heights to honor Bob Bradway ’81 as the 2023 Distinguished Alumnus and Debbie Keeran as the 2023 Alumni Service Award recipient at the school’s annual Holiday Luncheon.

On November 27, seniors Yasemin B. and Arya C. of the Columbus Academy varsity girls tennis team were honored at a special assembly in celebration of their Division II state doubles championship in October.

Earlier this fall, the Columbus Dispatch published a story about Columbus Academy alumnus George Winger ’36, a U.S. Army Air Forces pilot who died August 1, 1943, while fighting in the European arena of World War II. His plane was shot down during a bombing mission, and his remains were not able to be identified after the war and were buried as unknown at the Civilian and Military Cemetery of Bolovan, Ploiesti, Prahova, Romania in the Hero Section.
