In addition to its nine National Merit Semifinalists previously announced, Columbus Academy’s Class of 2026 has 13 nationally recognized Commended Students in the 71st annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
The following seniors have been named National Merit Commended Students for demonstrating outstanding potential for academic success by placing among the nation’s top 50,000 students on the 2024 PSAT exam:
- Miranda Bradner-Young, daughter of John Young and Alexandra Bradner of Westerville
- Nolen Chambers, son of Elizabeth Drotleff and Eric Chambers of Worthington
- Chris Hill, son of Ted and Sara Kate Hill of New Albany
- James Lo, son of David Lo and Bo Pang of New Albany
- Chaz Moore, son of Lany and Chaz Moore of Columbus
- Ryan Rajan, son of Rajan Rajamani and Stella Rajan of New Albany
- Lauren Stevens, child of Kristin and Jason Stevens of Gahanna
- Rachael Sutherland, daughter of Michael and Kathryn Sutherland of New Albany
- Eesha Tanneru, daughter of Mahesh and Padmaja Tanneru of Powell
- Jayden Tsao, son of Jeff and Yenny Tsao of Worthington
- Alison Wang, daughter of Weifeng Wang and Limei Yang of Dublin
- Sophie Wu, daughter of Gong Wu and Liwen Zhang of Powell
- Abigail Xiao, daughter of Jun Xiao and Yuan Zhang of New Albany
In total, these 22 students nationally recognized represent 25% of this year’s 88-member senior class.
