Charles Chandler began serving as the Assistant Director of Athletics for Middle and Upper School Sports at Columbus Academy in July 2026. He brings a specialized background in athletic administration, youth sports leadership and physical education to the school's athletic department. Before joining Academy, Charles served as the Middle School Director of Athletics at Upper Arlington Schools for two years. Charles holds a B.S. in sports administration from Kent State University.
In his role at Academy, Charles helps oversee athletic programming for middle and upper school student-athletes, ensuring well-run, supportive and competitive sports programs. In addition to his administrative duties, he teaches middle school physical education and serves as an assistant coach for both the middle school football and lacrosse teams. Charles is married to his wife, Kaila Chandler.
