The Columbus Academy Alumni Board is thrilled to announce that Zach Doran ’00 and Bryan Morosky ’04 have been selected as the 2026 inductees into our Athletic Hall of Fame. This year’s induction ceremony will take place at noon on Saturday, October 10, which is also the second day of Alumni Weekend.
Zach was a three-time state champion, one-time co-individual state champion and four-year letterman on the boys golf team at Academy. After being named the team’s “best freshman” golfer in 1996, Zach was selected as First Team All-State and All-District as a junior and repeated those honors as a senior while also adding District Player of the Year to his resume. As a senior, he helped Academy capture its third consecutive Division III state championship and finished as co-medalist with classmate Stan Ferger ’00. Zach was also a letterman in baseball and basketball, both of which he played two years. Zach went on to play collegiate golf at Ohio State University where he was selected as an All-American in 2003 and a member of the 2004 Big Ten Championship team. He played professionally for four years after college on various tours including the Korn Ferry, Canadian and South American Tour.
Bryan was a standout two-sport athlete in baseball and football at Academy, earning five varsity letters. He was co-captain and co-MVP of the 2003 State Champion football team and MVP of the 2003 State Runner-Up baseball team. He was voted first-team All-Central Ohio and All-League in all three seasons of varsity baseball, with a pitching record of 24-4 overall, leading the team in wins, ERA and strikeouts each season. As a junior, he went 10-1 on the mound including a no-hitter, along with a .467 batting average, 38 RBI and 21 stolen bases. As a senior, Bryan was a two-time Columbus Dispatch Athlete of the Week and pitched to a 7-1 record en route to the regional finals. In his senior year of football, Bryan was a first-team All-State, All-District and All-League selection, accumulated more than 3,000 all-purpose yards, scored 35 touchdowns and amassed a total of 288 points on the season, which at the time ranked eighth all-time in the state of Ohio. Bryan went on to earn a baseball scholarship to The College of William & Mary.
