Columbus Academy has received a generous gift from the Dunn family that will strengthen the school’s unrestricted endowment and support its highest priorities for generations to come.

“This extraordinary gift will have a lasting impact on our school’s unrestricted endowment,” announced Head of School Melissa Soderberg. “Because it is unrestricted, it gives us the flexibility to invest in Columbus Academy’s highest priorities and support students and faculty well into the future.”

According to Assistant Head of School for Development Maria Miller, who was instrumental in securing the gift, the Dunn family – with deep and multi-generational ties to Academy – thought carefully about the permanent legacy they wanted to create at the school.

“What makes Columbus Academy so meaningful to the Dunn family is not simply the exceptional education,” they stated, “but the lasting relationships and strong sense of community that have connected our family to the school for nearly 90 years across multiple generations.”
