Biography

Dan Ginis joined the Development Office at Columbus Academy as director of major and planned gifts on July 21, 2025. He came to Academy after six years as chief development officer with Ohio Living, a not-for-profit that provides home and community-based services for seniors in many of Ohio's largest regions. Dan also brings several years of experience from time spent working in Development and Major Gifts at the Michigan Humane Society, University of Michigan, Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit and Greater Atlanta, as well as the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. He holds a B.A. in History from University of Michigan, M.S.W. from University of Southern California and M.A. in Jewish Nonprofit Management from Hebrew Union College. Dan has two daughters who live in Washington, D.C., and he has a feline roommate named Gracie.

Little-known fact about Dan
"In high school I owned a lawn service with 100+ lawns cut each week. In college I was editor-in-chief of Consider, a weekly publication with a distribution of 10,000 issues throughout campus."
