Sandy Doyle-Ahern P’20 ’22 – President of EMH&T, Central Ohio’s leading housing, economic development and public infrastructure design firm – will serve as the keynote speaker for Columbus Academy’s 112th Commencement on June 2, 2025, and Dr. Pascal Losambe will deliver this year’s Cum Laude Address at Upper School Honors Assembly on May 23.

Sandy joined EMH&T in 1997, became EMH&T’s first female shareholder in 2006 and vice president in 2008, and was named president of the company in 2012. She also lends her talent and leadership skills to a range of organizations with missions to support housing, workforce development and healthcare. In addition to being immediate past president for Columbus Academy’s Board of Trustees, Sandy is a member of the Columbus Partnership and serves on the Board of Directors for Downtown Columbus, Inc., Columbus Metropolitan Library, Columbus State Community College, OhioHealth and the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation.

“I am thrilled that Sandy accepted the invitation to be this year’s guest speaker after already having been on our Commencement stage as a Board president,” stated Head of School Melissa Soderberg. “She is widely recognized as one of the most influential leaders in all of Central Ohio, and I can’t wait to hear what knowledge and advice she is willing to share with Academy’s talented Class of 2025.”

Pascal is the school’s director of diversity and community life. He initially joined Academy as the upper school dean of students and later took on the role of special assistant to the head of school for student outreach during the 2020-21 school year. With over 14 years of experience in teaching and administration within independent schools, Pascal is deeply committed to student development and educational leadership. In recognition of his contributions to education, he was honored with the Mahogany Columbus Outstanding Educator Award in 2024.

“For years, I have had the privilege of listening to outstanding Cum Laude speakers,” said Pascal, “and I am deeply honored that our community considers me worthy of sharing with our students and fellow community members.”
