Kenny Hyttenhove joined Columbus Academy at the start of the 2018-19 school year and moved into his current role as a part-time instructional coach in the Lower School at the start of the 2025-26 school year. His prior teaching roles on campus include being a lead teacher and team leader for kindergarten, third grade and time spent as a long-term substitute in fifth grade. Kenny earned his B.S. in early childhood education from Bowling Green State University and gained valuable experience as a lead teacher at the BGSU Child Development Center. His teaching journey also includes positions in North Carolina, where he taught in the Pitt County Schools system in Greenville and the Wake County Public Schools in Raleigh, where he was nominated for the 2018 Teacher of the Year award. Outside of the classroom, Kenny enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Jillian, and their daughters, Nora and Rylan. He also loves going to concerts, playing and watching sports, and embracing new learning opportunities.
