Biography
Neal O’Brien will return to the classroom for the 2026–27 school year to teach eighth grade social studies after serving as assistant director of athletics since 2021. A member of the Columbus Academy community since 2013, Neal began his time on campus as a middle school coach before transitioning into the classroom, where he taught fifth grade social studies for two years, was a long-term substitute and eighth grade PE teacher. Since 2014, he has served as the head middle school boys lacrosse coach and perviously was an assistant coach for middle school football and head eighth grade boys and girls basketball coach. Neal earned a B.A. in History from Otterbein University and an M.A. in Military History from American Military University.
