Columbus Academy Student Theatre is staging “Something Rotten” on April 27-29. All three performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s Schoedinger Theatre.

Tickets will be available at the door, and seats can also be reserved in advance at https://www.showtix4u.com/event-details/73271. Admission is $7 but free for all Academy students and faculty/staff.

According to director Whitney Eads, “Something Rotten” was on Broadway in 2015 but not many people know about it. “There are over 50 musical, Shakespearean and Renaissance references within the musical. It’s a parody that’s a lot of fun and pretty ridiculous with some really cool costumes, too.”

This will also mark the final production for Scott Dillon, who has been our theatre department’s technical director since 2004. “Dill” – as he is affectionately known to both students and colleagues alike – is retiring at the end of this school year.
