Na Li has taught Chinese in the middle school at Columbus Academy since 2010 and is devoted to helping her students reach their full potential. Her students continually win outstanding awards in Ohio, central states, and national level Chinese competitions. She also has been involved in summer STARTALK programs as a Lead Instructor since 2013. She served two terms as President of the Ohio Association of Teachers of Chinese (OATC) and received the Outstanding Leadership Award from the Confucius Institute at Cleveland State University and OATC. She is passionate and committed to supporting the world language teaching community and Chinese teachers from across the country through her roles as the board member at the Ohio Foreign Language Association (OFLA) and the vice president of the national Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools (CLASS). Since March 15, 2020, she and her team have designed and hosted more than 80 episodes of webinars on “Remote Teaching First-Aid Tools” and “CLASS Frontline 热点谈” to help Chinese teachers transition into remote teaching and discuss their classroom strategies during the pandemic. She has also been a frequent presenter at Chinese language workshops and national conferences, having led sessions or been on panels at ACTFL, STARTALK, NCLC, and NFLC Virtual Summit.
