Biography

Kim Masturzo is a first grade associate teacher in Beth Klug's class and a reading specialist at Columbus Academy. She joined Academy at the start of the 2021-22 school year, after serving as an adjunct instructor at Ohio Dominican University (ODU) where she taught in the Education Division for 13 years. At ODU, Kim taught a range of undergraduate courses with a focus on language arts and literacy and also supervised student teachers. Kim also taught first and second grade in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, before relocating to New Albany, where she currently resides. She holds a B.S. in elementary education from The Ohio State University and a Master of Education from John Carroll University with a focus on reading. Kim and her husband Tim have a son, Austin and a daughter, Abby. As a family, they enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and their yellow Labrador retriever, Walker. Kim enjoys hiking, biking, yoga, paddle boarding and staying active.
