Biography

Julie Keating has been teaching middle school science at Columbus Academy since 2012. She also serves as the middle school science curriculum coordinator and has previously coached middle school volleyball. Prior to coming to Academy, Julie worked for Avon Local Schools in northeast Ohio where she taught fourth grade for eight years and fifth grade for one year. She holds a B.S. in middle school education math and science for grades 4-9 from Miami University and a M.Ed. in reading for grades K-12 from Baldwin Wallace College. Julie and her husband, Matt, reside in Dublin with their son, Walker, and dog, Winston.

Also, I love how dedicated the community is in helping develop each child as a whole. It is such a joy to have the opportunity to watch our children make their journey from middle school through senior commencement.”

“My parents legally changed my first and middle name when I was three days old. Originally, my name was Andrea Rose, and now I'm Julie Christine.”

Favorite sports teams
“My favorite college basketball team is Duke, and I support all Cleveland sports teams.”
