You're invited to enjoy an afternoon with fellow Academy alumni in New York City at a matinee production of playwright Rob Ackerman's '76 "Dropping Gumballs on Luke Wilson." "Dropping Gumballs on Luke Wilson" is inspired by a true, little-known story about the making of an iconic TV commercial in which a legendary film director puts a movie star’s life in the hands of a very nervous props guy. A humorous and ultimately disturbing account of power in the workplace, “Gumballs” examines how truth is negotiated in both art and in life. Run time is approximately 75 minutes with no intermission.

Afterwards, enjoy light refreshments and beverages while taking advantage of an Academy exclusive post-performance dialogue with Rob Ackerman '76. You will also have the opportunity to receive an insider's update on Academy's performing arts program from Stefan Farrenkopf, Upper School English Teacher and Musical Director.

Columbus Academy has purchased a block of tickets, cost is $40/person (includes light refreshments and drinks at the post-show reception).
