We are very excited to invite you to attend an extra special PACA Connect meeting on Wednesday, March 13, at 8:15 a.m. in the school's dining hall (fireside). PACA's goal is to highlight the terrific job Columbus Academy does in developing confident and competent public speakers by showcasing key points along their educational journey. The meeting will kick off with adorable Third Grade Wax Museum characters stationed around the room ready to have you “push their button” to hear about their historical characters. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from two eighth grade students presenting their Science Exit Projects. Finally, we will hear from Head of Upper School Cory Izokaitis about the variety of ways in which students hone their public speaking skills including, but not limited to, our award-winning speech and debate team, scientific presentations from the Columbus Academy Applied Science Program, business presentations from the Upper School's "Writing in the Market" course to local business owners and leaders of prominent nonprofits, and more. It is going to be an enlightening and entertaining meeting... we hope to see you there!
