Debbie Asirifi will begin serving as a first grade associate teacher at Columbus Academy at the start of the 2022-23 school year. She is a lifelong writer, has served as writer/editor for various lifestyle and entertainment magazines, as well as a copywriter for retail marketing teams. She is currently a children's literature author with a focus on Young Adult novels and illustrated chapter books. Her debut picture book is forthcoming. When she is not chasing writing deadlines, Debbie enjoys meeting friends for coffee, dancing in her kitchen, and laughing with her family. She holds a B.A. from Rutgers University. Debbie and her husband, Bernard, delight in Columbus life along with their children Olivia '32 and Lincoln '35, and the family's rescue dog named Rosie.
