Davida Arnold joined the Lower School at Columbus Academy as a PreK associate teacher last year after having spent a portion of the 2018-19 school year on campus as a substitute for PreK through fifth grade. She completed her B.S. in industrial and systems engineering at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg and holds a M.S. in pastoral counseling from Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore. Before becoming a teacher, Davida was an engineer working on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers. Davida also brings educational experience as a teacher assistant and substitute at Westminster Academy in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, before moving to Pickerington last summer when her husband Shaka became our Head of Middle School. She is also a board certified coach and a certified clarity coach. Davida and Shaka are the proud parents of Zoya ’24, Hanna ’26, Joza ’28 and Ina ’30.
