Davida Arnold joined the lower school faculty at Columbus Academy as a substitute teacher in 2018 and began serving as the Assistant Director of Diversity and Community Life for the Lower School in April 2022. Her most recent teaching role was as a pre-kindergarten associate from 2019-2026. She completed her B.S. in industrial and systems engineering at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg and holds a M.S. in pastoral counseling from Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore. Before becoming a teacher, Davida was an engineer working on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers. Davida also brings educational experience as a teacher assistant and substitute at Westminster Academy in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, before moving to Pickerington when her husband Shaka became our Head of Middle School. She is also a Board Certified Coach, Certified Diversity Coach, and a Certified Youth Coach. Davida and Shaka are the proud parents of Zoya ’24, Hanna ’26, Joza ’28 and Ina ’30.
