Amy Berkley began teaching history full-time in the upper school at Columbus Academy in 2019-20, having previously served as a long-term substitute since August 2017. She graduated from Otterbein University with a B.A. in history and art and obtained a M.L.A. from Harvard University Extension School. In 2021, Amy completed the Harvard Business School and Harvard School of Education’s joint certificate program in School Management and Leadership, where she also earned the Harvard Extension School Dean's List Academic Achievement Award. Before coming to Academy, she taught at Liberty Christian Academy in Pataskala and Madison Christian School in Groveport. She has had the opportunity to travel to both Cairo and Italy on archeological digs. Amy and her husband, James have three children: Benjamin '32, Annabella '35 and baby Matthew. They enjoy hiking, drawing and painting.
