Biography

Lisa Spolter came to Columbus Academy in 1993 as a teacher and began her new role of Assistant Director of Admissions for Early Childhood in July 2021. Lisa's focus is on students entering the Explorers Program through grade one and she also works with Lower School as a specialist in social and emotional learning, and as a member of the division's Responsive Classroom Team. As a teacher, Lisa taught for 28 years between time spent in first grade and PreK, along with work as a team leader, early childhood grades coordinator for the Lower School, involvement with the division’s admissions committee, and worked with our Summer Experience Program. Lisa previously was a chapter consultant with the Kappa Kappa Gamma women’s fraternity and supported the Delto Rho chapter at the University of Mississippi. She holds a B.S. in early childhood education from Bowling Green State University and a M.S. in education from the University of Dayton. Lisa and her husband, Lorn, have two daughters, Sophie ’22 and Abby ’25.
