Biography

Stefan Farrenkopf began working at Columbus Academy in 1995 and currently teaches English in the upper school. He also previously directed the upper school spring musical. Stefan joined Academy after time spent teaching Language Arts at St. Michael and English at Bishop Watterson High School. He holds a B.A. in English education from The Ohio State University and a M.A. in Theater (directing) from Roosevelt University. Stefan and his wife, Brelle, who serves as our director of early childhood program and student services, have three children: Alex ’12, Emma ’15, and Evan ’20.

Stefan’s favorite thing about Columbus Academy
I love the expectation of kindness and integrity. Our community is invested in each person becoming better, not just intellectually, but ethically. That may seem solemn and serious, but it handled with such humor and adventure and fun. Every day I laugh - hard -  with students and faculty.
