Biography

Margaret Fowler began teaching middle school coding and computer science at Columbus Academy in November 2022. She has been a web developer since 2000 and has 30 years experience in business technology including work in marketing, sales, product design and training. Margaret spent 10 years as an adjunct computer information systems (CIS) professor at Waubonsee Community College in Illinois while also founding a technical training company that has served the web development community since 2012. She holds a B.A. in marketing with a minor in psychology from North Central College and a M.S. in management information systems from Northern Illinois University. 

Margaret's favorite sports team
"Being born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, I'm a diehard Bears fan. I started visiting Columbus in 2019 and couldn't help but become a Buckeyes fan. I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to see Justin Fields' athleticism at the Shoe for two seasons before he made his NFL debut with the Bears in 2021!"

Little-known fact
"For my 40th birthday, I taught myself to drive a motorcycle and I've been riding for more than 10 years. When the weather's nice I love doing all my travel (even grocery shopping!) on my Harley Davidson Heritage Softail."
