Janny Cann enters her first year as a lead teacher in our Explorers Program at Columbus Academy in 2020-21. She comes to Academy with three years of experience teaching ceramics and environmental art at the University of Guam and at a local community center in St. Louis, Mo. Janny also has 10 years of experience in business development and strategic planning for healthcare systems in Washington and Connecticut. She holds a B.A. in economics and public health, and an M.H.A. from the School of Public Health and Community Medicine, from the University of Washington, as well as an M.F.A. from Fontbonne University. Janny and her husband Will, who served over 20 years in the U.S. Armed Forces, have three children: Wystan '29, Auden '31 and Warren '34.
