Andy Bezant, Ph.D., joined the Columbus Academy faculty in 2002 as a seventh grade science teacher before moving into the upper school to teach chemistry at the start of the 2023-24 school year. He also serves as the Dedger and Rose Jones Master Chair in Science and coaches middle school boys soccer. Prior to arriving at Academy, Andy was a post-doctorate research fellow in the Department of Chemistry at The Ohio State University. He obtained a B.S. and Ph.D. in chemistry from Leiscester University in England and, after many years living in the United States, became an American citizen on September 24, 2025. Andy and his wife Jessica have four children: Evelyn ’22, Gabe ’24, Vincent ’28 and Peter ’34.
