Biography

Amy Brooks began teaching at Columbus Academy in 2005 as our Middle and Upper School Choir Director, and in 2020 added the role of School Counseling Intern before beginning her work as Middle School Counselor at the start of the 2022-23 school year. She has also served as an advisor in the Upper and Middle School, and music director for the Upper School spring musical. Before arriving at Academy, Amy worked as a Choir Director at Highland Local Schools. She holds a B.M.Ed. from Bowling Green State University and has a M.S. in school counseling from the University of Dayton. Amy and her husband, Chris, have two children, Hannah and Noah ’28, and their family has a dog Carter and a cat Cappuccino.
