Chris Luzniak will begin teaching mathematics in the Upper School at Columbus Academy at the start of the 2021-22 school year. A native of Cleveland, Chris is thrilled to be returning to teach in Ohio after having taught secondary mathematics for the past 15 years in both New York City and Los Angeles. Chris holds a M.S. in mathematics from the University of Connecticut and a M.Ed. from New York University. An advocate for student-centered math education, Chris works with math teachers across the globe to develop rich and engaging math lessons for students. His book Up for Debate! is currently published by Stenhouse Publishers. Chris and his partner, Ray, live in Hilliard with their dog Fitz, where they enjoy cooking, board games and completing the New York Times crossword puzzles.
