Chris Luzniak has been teaching mathematics in the Upper School at Columbus Academy since 2021. A native of Cleveland, Chris returned to teach in Ohio after having taught secondary mathematics for the past 15 years in both New York City and Los Angeles. Chris holds a M.S. in mathematics from the University of Connecticut and a M.Ed. from New York University. An advocate for student-centered math education, Chris works with math teachers across the globe to develop rich and engaging math lessons for students. His book Up for Debate! is currently published by Stenhouse Publishers. Chris and his partner, Ray, live in Hilliard with their dogs Fitz and Archie, where they enjoy cooking, board games and completing the New York Times crossword puzzles.
