Biography

Akua Adjei will begin teaching mathematics in the Upper School at Columbus Academy at the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year. She is originally from Ghana where she had her elementary through to college education. Akua majored in actuarial science at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana and began her teaching career shortly after in 2017. She has taught a variety of mathematics classes ranging from sixth grade to the collegiate level. Akua holds a master's degree in mathematics from Ohio University, where she also earned her teaching credential and master's in education. She loves to hang out with family and friends, travel and try new recipes, mostly ethnic foods.
