GOLFERS REPEAT AS DIVISION II STATE CHAMPIONS

Our golfers repeated as Division II state champions Saturday with a round of 312 on OSU's Scarlet Course that gave them a two-day total of 625 that was nine strokes better than runner-up Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin! It marked the third state title in the past five years for Coach Craig Yakscoe's teams and the ninth in program history. Ali Khan shot rounds of 76-78 (154) to tie as individual runner-up and joined Academy teammate Matthew Cammeyer, who tied for fourth at 155 (78-77), on the All-Ohio First Team while sixth-place finisher Kahmar Byers made the Second Team with a 156 (77-79). Rounding out our lineup were fellow junior Griffin Mitchell's 160 (82-78, t-11th) and freshman Russell Ahmed's 167 (86-81, t-25th) in the field of 12 teams and 72 total competitors.
