Interscholastic athletics at Columbus Academy are an integral part of our students' day. Whether on the court, on the field, on the course, on the mat or in the pool, our students prepare for athletic competition with the same dedication, tenacity and sense of fair play that they also bring to the classroom.

Columbus Academy Athletics Mascot

In 1932, Columbus Academy's students voted for the nickname Vikings over Panthers, Grey Wolves and other suggested options. Academy teams had been known only as the Maroon and Gray until that point. During the summer of 2009, Academy unveiled a new set of school logos that included a Viking helmet mark (access print-quality size by clicking here) and a CA monogram within a shield (access print-quality size by clicking here) that were designed for primarily athletic purposes.

In most sports, Columbus Academy competes in the Mid-State League Ohio (MSL-Ohio) Division.
