The purposes of the Parents' Association of Columbus Academy are fourfold: to foster a close relationship among CA, its students and members of the Association; to encourage support of the work of the trustees, administration and faculty of the school in achieving its goals; to serve as a channel of communication between members of the Association and the trustees, administration and faculty of the school; and to sponsor activities that promote the quality of school life.

In 2008, the Parents’ Association of Columbus Academy (PACA) wrapped up another successful year of fundraising for the school by announcing $197,795 worth of funds distributed by the volunteer association. In addition to providing $50,000 for financial aid, $5,000 to the annual fund, $20,000 for school support funds and $9,525 for the Viking Corner store construction and startup costs, PACA awarded the following grants: $5,000 for “Curing Nature Deficit Disorder at CA,” $900 for “Magic of the Monarch,” $7,400 for “Wireless Microphones in Theater/Arts,” $3,290 for “Quizdom Classroom Set,” $40,000 for “Classroom Projectors and SMARTBoards,” $5,500 for “SEED Program for Parents” and $51,180 for “Athletic Grants” (Charlie David Dinner funds).
