The Van Syckel Society
In acknowledgment of those alumni, parents and friends of The Columbus Academy who have made commitments to the school through their estate plans, the Van Syckel Society was formed. Named after Frank P.R.Van Syckel, founding headmaster who guided the school from 1911 to 1941, the Society recognizes those members of the Academy community who have made provisions in their estates through bequests or have named the school the beneficiary of a trust, annuity or life insurance policy. Members of the Van Syckel Society are afforded the school’s highest appreciation and are recognized annually in many ways for their visionary support.
We invite you to join with others in building a strong Academy for both today and for tomorrow by becoming a member of the Van Syckel Society. The only requirement for membership is written notification to the school that a remembrance has been made in a will, trust, annuity or through a life insurance policy.
For more information, the Academy’s Alumni/Development Office is available for assistance. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or to let us know if you have already included Columbus Academy in your estate plans. All inquiries are held in confidence.
