Bequests and Charitable Estate Gifts

Over the years, many thoughtful alumni, parents and friends have expressed their gratitude to The Columbus Academy in the form of bequests and other estate gifts.  Legacies such as these enable the people and families who have benefited from the Academy to reinvest in this unique institution.  For many, these gifts allow them to make a far more substantial gift to the school than possible through an outright one.

Planned gifts placed in the school’s endowment can be used in perpetuity to provide scholarships; bolster faculty salaries and enrichment; help with academic and capital improvements; or, be used for general purposes.  Most importantly, those friends of the Academy who choose to honor the school in this special way gain the satisfaction of thanking it for the impact it made on their future and the future of tomorrow’s men and women who will call The Columbus Academy “alma mater.”
