International Students
International Student FAQ
When do international students enroll to Columbus Academy?
Typically, international students apply after sophomore year and attend Columbus Academy for junior and senior years of high school and then graduate from Academy.
Does the school issue I-20 forms for international students?
Yes. After acceptance and enrollment, the school will process an I-20 for the student.
Does the school locate host families for international students?
No. Our international students must have relatives in the Columbus area with whom they will live. Final enrollment is contingent on satisfactory living arrangements.
Is there an ESL (English as Second Language) program?
Columbus Academy has no ESL program so English fluency is a requirement for our international students. International students will only be considered if they possess excellent English skills -- listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Are international families eligible for financial aid?
Columbus Academy does not offer financial aid to our international students.
Application Process
International students follow our standard application process, including the ISEE test (visit
iseetest.org). Since there is no ESL program at Columbus Academy, international students will only be considered if they possess excellent English skills -- listening, speaking, reading and writing. While our domestic students visit the school for a personal interview, international student interviews may be made via Skype (visit
skype.com).
