Standardized Testing

Most colleges require applicants to submit scores from either the SAT or the ACT.  Some colleges may also require or "strongly recommend" that students submit scores from the SAT Subject tests as well.  The Columbus Academy students must register themselves for these tests. Students must also send their scores directly to their colleges/universities.

In preparation for the SAT, the Columbus Academy freshman, sophomores and juniors take the PSAT exam, or preliminary SAT.

Similarly, AP exams that are given in May each year, following the corresponding course, and are administered at the Columbus Academy. Students in AP courses receive information about registration from school officials in a timely manner.
