Academy Magazine is published three times a year by the Alumni/Development Office. It is a general interest publication that brings school developments/events/successes into focus for the Academy community – especially for the 2700+ living Columbus Academy alumni. The magazine carries feature articles as well as faculty and alumni profiles and class notes to keep former CA classmates connected. The Academy Life is a newspaper produced by students of Columbus Academy during the school year and is published primarily for the students, alumni, faculty and parents. It is produced to inform and entertain its readers by providing coverage of current events, sports, features and reviews. The Academy Life is a forum for student expression and a venue that offers responsible editorial leadership. Unsigned editorials reflect the majority opinion of the editorial, including the editors-in-chief, section editors, art editors, photography editors and the business/circulation managers. Letters to the editor are encouraged, but the newspaper reserves the right to reject or edit all contributions. Letters must be signed and may be delivered to Room A205, e-mailed to academylife@columbusacademy.org or faxed to (614) 475-0396. The Academy Life advisor is Pat Hogan.

School Profiles are published every year by the College Counseling Office to familiarize college admissions officers with Columbus Academy's outstanding academic reputation. It includes graduation requirements, courses offered, grading policy and information about the previous year's graduating class, including national test scores, National Merit and AP Exam results, grade distribution and matriculation list. Admissions Viewbooks are published every few years to highlight the school's many strengths for potential CA families. SHOUT: Voices from the Middle is a Columbus Academy Middle School literary and visual arts magazine produced every year by students from grades 5-8. The faculty advisors are Karen Mozenter, Stacy Nockowitz and Kathy Spicer with Scott Neal, David Block and Cindy Zive also providing assistance.

Viking Sports Programs are published for each athletic season by the Parents' Association of Columbus Acadey (PACA). They include team photos and rosters for all Upper School sports programs in addition to pictures of the coaches and seniors, schedules, Hall of Fame listing and other Viking sports-related information. These are the only official school publications that accept outside advertising. For availability and details, contact Ben Nicola at BNicola@columbus.rr.com. Academy's director of athletics is Dominic Facciolla and the assistant director is Anne Horton.

Columbus Academy's 2006-2011 Strategic Plan was approved by the Board of Trustees on June 7, 2006, to improve the execution of the school's Mission Statement and make progress towards achieving the Vision Statement. It contains 52 action items organized into six central initiatives: academic excellence, composition of student body, personal development, college preparation, communications and marketing, and resource support.
