Black History Month Alumni & Faculty/Staff Spotlight
To begin our celebration of Black History Month, we have highlighted in this video a group of Black alumni, faculty and staff who have made an impact during their time at Columbus Academy and beyond. From athletes to artists, to military personnel and school employees, we celebrate the accomplishments and legacy of these individuals. A bulletin board in the middle school hallway has been decorated to highlight all of these distinguished alumni, faculty and staff members. We look forward to sharing more coverage of our schoolwide activities throughout the month on social media so be sure to follow us on Instagram, LinkedIn and Threads!
Register for the Andy Bowman Memorial Baseball Game
On Saturday, April 20, the Columbus Academy community will be celebrating the life of Andy Bowman '16 as a part of the varsity baseball home game at 11:00 a.m. at Stahl Field. This past February, Andy passed away after a long battle with Ewing Sarcoma.

Our baseball team will be wearing yellow patches in Andy's honor, and the Bowman family will be hosting a tailgate in the parking lot. All are welcome to attend, especially alumni from the Class of 2016. If you are able to join, RSVP to haddockm@columbusacademy.org in order to prepare food and refreshments.
Viking Vantage
This month's Viking Vantage recognizes Ryan Wheeler '10. After graduating from Academy, Ryan earned his bachelor's degree in business management and leadership from Miami University and then received a J.D. from Capital University Law School. After a brief stint as the assistant prosecuting attorney in Franklin County, Ohio, Ryan began his current role at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP. Ryan knew he wanted to be an attorney as early as sixth grade and credits his friends and classmates who had parents in the profession for offering guidance. "Throughout my time at Columbus Academy, the importance of hard work and diligence was stressed at every opportunity... and I strive to demonstrate these characteristics in all that I do as a legal professional."
